Week 2 has begun and I am about half way through the reading, but before I begin touching on anything from this week, I want to share my commitment prayer from last week. (or as I am calling it re-commitment prayer.) It seems that I have to commit each day to The Lord, it's a daily thing not just a one time thing. I am so thankful that God is so faithful when I lack consistency in my prayer life and reading the Bible.
Here is my prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You so much for who You are! For being so powerful and yet so loving and merciful. Today and with this study, I re-commit my life to You Lord. I give up every area of my life to You. And I pray that if at any time I try to take back any area that You would remind me that it belongs to You and that I gave it to You. Lord, I say Yes! I say Yes to You! I say Yes to You using me as You will! I say Yes to You using me as a vessel. I know that no matter what goes on in my life.....if I am saying Yes to You....it will all be used for Your glory and that it will become my testimony of how awesome You are! I ask that You give me ears to hear You and an open heart to receive Your love and to freely give Your love to others. I ask that You fill me with Your compassion towards others. Work in my spirit, fill me with You! Remove all of me! I don't want one ounce of me left! I want to grow in my walk and in my faith. I trust You Lord! Even when I doubt and question, I will trust You. I need Your help and Your strength! You and only You know my heart Lord. I thank You for all You have already done in my life and I thank You for all You will do in my life! I eagerly anticipate all of Your work in my life. My life is Your life! It's not my own! I gave it to You many years ago and today I re-commit my life to You. Please open my heart, my mind and my ears to hear all that You are speaking to me in this study Lord. Fill me up! I am so excited! I love You Lord!! You are my God! In Jesus' Name, I pray! Amen!
